Our Vision
At St Gregory's Catholic Academy, we believe that every child has unique gifts and talents to share. Our Pupil Employment Scheme provides meaningful opportunities for pupils to take on important roles within our school community, developing confidence, leadership and responsibility while living out our Gospel values through service to others. From Maths Ambassadors, Reading Ambassadors and Digital Leaders to Play Leaders, Wellbeing Ambassadors, School Councils and Sports Leaders, every role allows pupils to make a positive contribution to school life while developing valuable skills for the future.
Our scheme mirrors the world of work in an age-appropriate way. Pupils complete an application form, take part in a friendly interview and if successful, receive an appointment acknowledgement before beginning their role. This authentic recruitment process helps children develop communication, teamwork, organisation and resilience, while encouraging them to take pride in their responsibilities and become active members of our school community.
Rather than receiving a salary, pupils are recognised and celebrated through certificates, rewards and memorable experiences at the end of their term of service. By listening to Pupil Voice, we continue to expand opportunities across the school, ensuring that more children can develop their leadership skills, grow in confidence and use their God-given gifts to make a positive difference to others. We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm, compassion and commitment our pupils show every day.
